This effort has not gone unnoticed; the El Paso Del Norte Lions Club chapter has recognized the PDLC for its outstanding contribution to community health.

This year, $4,500 in scholarships was distributed, with $3,000 going to students from Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD and $1,500 to those from Balmorhea ISD.
