Cantaloupe Classic 2025: A Celebration of Youth, Talent, and Community Pride

Reeves County is about to be at the center of excitement as we proudly host the 2025 Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD Athletics Invitational Golf Tournament, locally known as the Cantaloupe Classic. This prestigious event draws talented student-athletes from across the region, including teams from Fort Stockton ISD, El Paso, Alpine ISD, Monahans High School, and Wink-Loving ISD, showcasing the best of young golfing talent on the UIL competition stage.

As locals know, the Cantaloupe Classic isn’t just another tournament – it’s an exciting tradition that brings the community together to cheer on the next generation of champions. Athletes who have competed in past tournaments return to give their best, hoping to take home the coveted bragging rights of being named the Cantaloupe Classic Champion.

We are thrilled to see so many teams and spectators coming from near and far participating year after year in the action. The tournament will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025, and Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Reeves County Golf Course. Please note that the course will remain closed to the public on these dates to accommodate the event.

This tournament is not just about golf; it’s about showcasing the dedication, skill, and sportsmanship of our student-athletes in front of a large and enthusiastic audience. Make sure you reserve your golf cart early, as this is an event you won’t want to miss. Arrive early to catch the action from the warm-up to the intense course competition as young athletes strive for greatness.
